Top-Nav AccessLaw Guide: Natural Language Searching

Natural Language Searching

Natural language searching is the type of searching most of us are familiar with since most search engines like Google and Bing enable this type of search.

In CEB, you can use natural language searching as in the following examples:

  • pretrial diversion in criminal law cases
  • what are the elements of intentional infliction of emotional distress
  • how to dissolve a marriage

Notes About Natural Language Searching

Rather than providing direct answers to questions or generating novel content, CEB returns results from its comprehensive existing content.

CEB will look for synonyms and related terms to the specific words you put in the search box.

CEB features predictive or type-ahead searching, as demonstrated below: (Note that suggested search results are broken into content types, such as secondary sources, news articles, etc.)
